So, Jon had a Master's Circle (a practice management company) conference that was at Disney World and was going to be during Halloween too so we decided to take the whole family. BAD IDEA!!!
There was a family area where we could watch the speakers but it wasn't in a closed room and of course all we were doing was trying to keep Andrew quiet and happy which turned out to be A LOT harder than we thought.
Also to save money we stayed in a hotel outside of Disney World but with how much the taxis cost we spent just as much if not more than if we had just stayed at the hotel the conference was held at.
Well, by lunch time of the first full day of the conference I had lost it and demanded that Jon takes us back to the hotel right now b/c the so called discount Disney park tickets were still WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. He of course did and then with A LOT of persuasion went back to the conference.
I was so upset, so I called my sister (Lisa) and just vented and she was such a sweet sister and just listened and then gave me the best advice ever...just make the best of it and have fun any ways. So, that is what we did for the next 2 days. We walked across the road to Denny's and as you can see from the pics Andrew LOVED that. We also went swimming and of course he loved that too.
I just felt so bad that we came all the way to Disney World and the closest Andrew got to seeing the real Mickey Mouse was the stickers he was given every time we went through the lobby and the poster on the store inside our hotel. Oh well, hopefully he won't remember that and just remember the fun time we had together.
Here we are trying to keep Andrew happy at the conference with his new Super Man toy. Yeah that didn't last long. Oh well, we have learned from our mistakes.
Here we are at Denny's having a yummy lunch and as you can see having fun too.
This is the closest Andrew got to Mickey Mouse on this trip. Oh well, live and learn!!
