General Conference & Ice Cream

So, as a lot of you know today is General Conference, but for those of you that don't know what that is, it is a conference where we can listen to our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and other general authorities or church leaders. It was great to feel the spirit and listen to inspired words, although I really love reading the talks more than listening to them, b/c then I can reread parts and just take my time.

In between conference we decided to clean out the garage so hopefully we can put our car inside during the next big storm. It took longer than we had anticipated but really looks good now. We were hot, sweaty and tired so Jon decided we needed to run over to Sonic for a treat. We got ice cream cones and a slushy. We had originally gotten a slushy for Andrew instead of an ice cream cone, but of course he wanted nothing to do with his slushy and REALLY wanted our ice cream. After Jon had ate most of his ice cream he gave it to Andrew, and the picture says everything. He LOVED the ice cream and had such a cute little ice cream mustache by the time he was done.

Then after the afternoon session of conference we decided to continue our cleaning and we went through Andrew's clothes and shoes and put away the ones that don't fit anymore. BOY did that feel good to clean out his closet and clean up his bedroom. I have been meaning to do that, but just either haven't wanted to or just haven't done it; so it was so nice to have Jon lead the cleaning project which really didn't take us that long. I am so grateful that Jon is a hard worker and wants to clean and keep things nice.
