We are so grateful that Allen Wrestling made state and that the tournament was here in Austin b/c the meant we got a fun visit from Papa since he is a very proud supporter of the Allen wrestling team.We don't care what brought Papa to Austin we are just glad he came to visit.
He came over on Friday night and Andrew just couldn't contain his excitement for Papa to be here. He took us out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse which is one of my favorites b/c of their yummy rolls and butter. The butter is so good I could melt it and drink it. YUMMY! Then we came home and Papa was so cute playing with Andrew. They played in Andrew's room but mostly Andrew rode the horsey "Papa" and loved every minute of it. It was getting late though so sadly we said bye to Papa.
Then on Saturday afternoon we got a surprising call from Papa asking if he could come hang out during a long break in the wrestling matches...of course we said yes so he came but not empty handed. When he showed up at our apartment he had brought Andrew chocolate milk as a gift from Mimi and then ice cream from him. We had fun eating ice cream, drinking chocolate milk, watching a movie, hanging out and playing. Then Andrew asked if we could go on a walk and sadly I didn't feel like getting out of the house (pretty much the way I have felt for a couple of months now) but Papa was so cute and took Andrew for a walk. When they got back Andrew was so excited b/c Papa had taken him over to some nearby baseball fields where they watched baseball and then bought him treats. I was so grateful to dad for taking Andrew on a walk but it also hurt knowing how much Andrew loves being outside and how much I keep Andrew inside b/c I am having a hard time getting out of the hosue right now. OUCH!
Then it was time for Papa to go but before he went he took me in his arms and told me that he loved me and that he would always be proud of me. I held it together while we were telling him goodbye but the moment I shut the door the tears just flowed. That meant so much to me especailly right now. THANK YOU DAD!
