Thoughtful Thursday (July 15, 2010)

Uncle Kerry was so cute with Andrew and when I told them I wanted to get a picture of them together this is what I got…showing off the muscles but Andrew still watching TV.

147Andrew asked Uncle Kerry to play toys with him so they went and played with the Aladdin toys. Uncle Kerry taught Andrew how to make the magic carpets go. Andrew didn’t really get it but Uncle Kerry was so patient with him.

148Andrew got a hold of the camera and of course had to take a picture of his lovely mom.

151 Today was Andrew’s last swim lesson and he did so GREAT. He jumped off the diving board with no issues at all. He didn’t really like wearing his clothes in the pool but I thought that was such a great idea b/c most likely kids will accidentally fall in the pool with their clothes on not swimming suits.

162 Andrew’s teachers simulate him falling into the pool head first. He doesn’t like this very much but does okay with it.

175 Today they had us parents get in the pool too so they could teach us how to work with our kids in the water. Here Andrew is jumping off the board to me.

178 He LOVED jumping off the side of the pool to me.

192Andrew also kept on wanting to do monkey walking. He LOVES that!!!

After we got home from swimming I quickly got ready to go to the Frisco Rough Rider’s baseball game with Dad, Aunt Tafta, Uncle Kerry, Nick and Aunt Sandy and Uncle Robert and Lisa met us there later. When we first got there we went to get some dinner and since we had Founder’s Seats (my dad’s business are sponsors so they get perks like that) we could get FREE food, drinks and ice cream. YEAH!!!

194 This is the sign that comes up on the out field screen b/c my dad’s business, Acute Kids, are sponsors of the Rough Riders. I had such pride seeing that sign and knowing I was a daughter of one of the owners of that business.

They had some different mascots that travel around to different sports games. This fish was dressed in a Chicago Bulls basketball jersey that said “Mackerel Jordan” on the back. He came out and stood next to a ball boy that was talking to an umpire during a break and spit a ball out of his mouth next to the ball boy (BB). The BB threw the ball and the fish went and got it and brought it back. That happened a few times until the BB pretended to throw the ball really far but really kept the ball. The fish got mad and charged the BB and knocked him over.

Then the fish did this to the BB…he picked the BB up and ate him! We were all laughing so hard b/c it was so unexpected and was so funny.

We thought that was the end of the skit, b/c the fish started walking off the field, but the skit wasn’t over…it got even better. The fish stopped all of a sudden and spit the BB’s shoe out of his mouth. Then he spit out the BB’s helmet and then came the BB’s jersey. By this time we were all in fits of laughter.

We thought that surely had to be the end of it, but they kept going, much to our delight! The fish started shaking and then bent over and spit out the BB!

The BB was wearing boxer shorts w/ hearts on them and started running off the field w/ the fish chasing him. We all cheered and clapped.

I had already gotten a hot fudge sunday but when Lisa asked if anyone wanted to join her to get ice cream I volunteered immediately. On the way up to the ice cream place she told Nick and I to jump in the elevator. She got this amazing shot. WOW she is such a great photographer and I want to become like her.

The sign behind me says, “Hey kids, jump up and down if you like baseball.” So I decided to go jump up and down too. I really did have LOTS of fun tonight.

At the very end of the game when we were leaving we saw Daisy (one of the mascots) so we had to get a picture with her. FUN!!!

197 Mimi was so sweet and watched the kids for Lisa and I but when we got home they still were awake and Andrew wanted me to put his swim pin on him that he got today. He was so PROUD of finishing his swim lessons.

198 I also LOVE how helpful he usually is…when Autumn was getting ready to go home she wanted her horse so Andrew found it for her and brought it to her. He really is the SWEETEST little boy!!!
