Andrew was SO EXCITED to have Dad come to his last swimming. Before Andrew’s swimming lessons started we decided to buy him his VERY OWN GOGGLES or GOBBLES as he calls them. He was so excited and so were we when we found out we had a credit so we didn’t even have to pay more money for them. YEAH!!!
Andrew wasn’t too excited about jumping in with his clothes on but with some help from Grace he did it. GOOD JOB!!!
At the very beginning he HATED laying on his back and even though he still doesn’t really like it he will do it and just relax. I am so proud of him and how much he has progressed. YEAH ANDREW!!!
Miss Grace was having a tickle fight with Alex (the other kid in Andrew’s swim class) and Andrew! They were having so much fun!
Andrew use to just kick with one foot but now he does really good kicking with both feet and moving himself in the water.
He LOVES to jump in, turn around and grab the wall. In fact he will even repeat it to me telling me that that is what I need to do so I can be safe in the water.
FUNNY KID!
He was so EXCITED when Miss Grace gave him his ribbon for finishing Advanced Aqua tots Class. He immediately went over and showed it to dad.

When Andrew was going down the slide he had to scoot himself down b/c his clothes were making it so he really couldn’t slide. We were all laughing so much!
The THREE AMIGOS!!
It’s funny b/c at the very beginning of the class I didn’t like Miss Grace very much and didn’t like the way she taught but after talking to my VERY WISE father about it we decided to teach Andrew a lesson about needing to stick with things that are hard and also that sometimes we don’t like people but we can come to like them and if not we at least need to respect them no matter what. I am so glad we kept him with her b/c she actually ended up being perfect for him!
Emler, the swimming school Andrew went to, had a thing called “One Brave Day” where they want you to share stories of your kids saving themselves so I told them about Andrew saving himself when he fell into the middle of the hot tub when Jon and I were on our late anniversary get away and my parents were watching him so he will get a certificate and got to have his picture taken by the Emler Fish.
YEAH ANDREW!!!
It was really funny too b/c while we were waiting to get our picture taken Andrew was showing everyone his “GOBBLES” and when an older girl corrected him that they were goggles not GOBBLES he turned to me and said, “Mom why did that girl say that word?” Jon and I just looked at each other and laughed. What a confident little kid we have.
