After we had breakfast, we headed out to help Papa in the garden again. First we raked leaves & then we were going to plant the vegetables but Papa realized he needed some more compost first, so Andrew, Autumn, Jackson, my Dad (Papa) & I all piled into the truck & off we went!
When we got to the compost place Jackson was in HEAVEN with all the BIG TRUCKS!!! He kept on pointing & squealing!!!
We got a truck load of compost & headed back home!
Mimi even came out to see what we were up to & to give her grandbabies some LOVES!!!

Papa makes everything fun…even getting the wheelbarrow!
I LOVE this picture of my two boys working side-by-side! My parents made it a priority to teach me how to get outside & work hard & that has blessed my life so much. I am SO HAPPY that my kids are learning to work & even though they don’t enjoy it right now (like I didn’t back then) someday I hope they will be grateful too! THANKS MOM & DAD for teaching me how to WORK HARD & for helping me teach my kids too!!!
Papa filled the wheelbarrow up with compost, dumped it in the garden beds & then the kids & I would spread it out! This is how we spent a good deal of our day…enjoying the sunshine & working hard together!
I LOVE how girly Autumn, my niece is, but how she also enjoys getting dirty too! She is the BEST!!!
Andrew decided he wanted to try to shovel the compost into the wheelbarrow like Papa was doing. So Papa let him have a turn & he actually did REALLY GOOD!! I was VERY IMPRESSED b/c usually Andrew doesn’t like to get dirty or even get near dirt so this was a BIG DEAL that he wanted to do this on his own!!!
Of course then Autumn had to try too & she did great too!
Uncle Nick even got in on the action…he planted the tomatoes!
After we worked hard out in the garden it was time to come in & play! Papa was being really funny with Andrew’s Lego toys & making the Lego men dance with each other. As you can tell from Andrew’s face he was NOT very amused with Papa!
Finally Daddy arrived for the weekend & we (I) was SO EXCITED to see him!!! I don’t realize HOW MUCH he does for all of us until we are apart for a week & then I realize how truly SPOILED I am & that I really so have the BEST HUSBAND EVER!!!
We just spent the rest of the evening playing & being together!
After the kids went to bed Lisa (my sister), my Mom & I filled the Easter Eggs in preparation for our early Easter celebration tomorrow at Aunt Sandy & Uncle Robert’s farm!
We really did WORK & PLAY HARD today & I can’t wait for tomorrow b/c going to the farm is ALWAYS FUN!!!
