Sunday Fun

When we got home from the Omni, where we celebrated our 7th Anniversary, this is what we saw…our little ones playing just like usual. We really did have an AWESOME time celebrating our anniversary but we also were really glad to be back with the rest of our family.

After we played for a while we decided to go to church with Papa. Now that might not seem like anything big to anyone else but I haven’t been to church for quite a while so for me it was a HUGE accomplishment. I wish I could have taken a picture in church though b/c Papa was being so cute with Andrew. During the closing song Papa and Andrew were having a tickling fight with loud laughs coming from Andrew. It is funny how Papa acts differently with the grandkids b/c if we ever would have done that in church when we were growing up we would have been taken outside and shown some “sign language” or in other words spanked. I just LOVE seeing my dad be so soft with the grandkids. Time really does change things.

After church we went over to Lisa’s for dinner b/c the air conditioning is out in mom and dad’s main area of the house. While we were there Andrew loved on Paco, Pam’s (a VERY CLOSE family friend) dog, that was staying over there temporarily.

The puppies really LOVED Jon and kept on crawling up in his lap. Here are all the BOYS (puppies, Andrew and Jon) taking a nap.

After dinner Lisa, Autumn, Andrew & I decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood duck pond. The kids really loved just running and being outside.

Of course Andrew had to run everywhere just like always. He had A LOT of fun trying to catch the ducks.

Then we decided to have races but Andrew got extremely sad when Autumn and Lisa ran ahead of him. In fact he was so sad he just sat down on the cement and told me “I’m not a fast player.” What a funny kid. He was okay once he was in the lead again and running ahead of everyone else.

 

Even though we were having A LOT of fun running the kids did have some really tender moments of just gazing at the lake. I am so happy they are good cousins and like to play with each other most of the time.

Before we knew it we were going home to go to bed. Mom came in the guest room were we are staying and watched TV b/c the rest of her house doesn’t have air conditioning right now. I was reading books to Andrew and looked over in the middle of reading and found him asleep. CUTE LITTLE BUG!

I just love how cute he looks when he is asleep.

Wow we sure had a FUN SUNDAY!!!
