I know this is only a dusting of snow but we were still really excited & had a snowball fight! FUN!!!
I don’t remember exactly what we were baking for dinner but Andrew all of the sudden pulled his chair up in front of the oven & asked for us to turn the oven light on so he could watch it bake. FUNNY KID!!!
For Valentine’s Day Jon got some cookies for the office & then surprised me with my own Valentine’s cake. It was SO GOOD!!! It was the yummy mexican vanilla cream but the inside layers had raspberry too. I LOVE raspberries so I LOVED IT!!! I have the best husband ever!
Andrew was really into making tents so Jon made him this tent to sleep in one weekend & I didn’t think he really would sleep in it but as you can see he is passed out & then to our surprise slept in it the next night too. I thought it was cute how Andrew pulled his “brother’s” (Trace, our dog) bed over by the tent!
So I will just say it right now I have been going through a depressive episode lately so I told Jon it just would be so much easier if we didn’t do anything for Valentine’s Day except maybe go out on a dinner date, which we did, BUT…he surprised me on Saturday morning & made a Valentine’s breakfast for me. He made waffles with whip cream & strawberries on top, sausage, & even got my all time favorite orange juice, Simply Orange! At first I was feeling so guilty b/c I knew I hadn’t planned anything to do for him but then I just decided to enjoy the love my husband was showing me & to toss the guilt, or at least try to!
Then on Monday we got a sweet surprise Valentine in the mail from Grandpa & Grandma Guymon! Andrew LOVED it & has is hanging up in his room! That was so thoughtful, thank you!
A couple of Saturdays later Jon asked if we wanted to go putt putt golfing together so even though I was still not really wanting to go out in public I pushed through it & we actually had a fun time! At first Andrew had no clue what to do but by the end of the 18 holes he almost knew what he was doing! We will for sure have to do that again!
At Andrew’s preschool they were learning about fairy tales so one day his teacher had all the kids dress up as princesses/princes so we just put Andrew in his Sunday best, Jon made a crown & then he used his Batman cape & ta da…our PRINCE, & such a handsome one at that!

That's cute that Andrew actually slept under the fort the whole night. When y'all come up again we'll have to do some real camping and do Dutch Ovens and sleep in a tent on top of the fort in the backyard.
